October: Me and You = We

Women join wForum for many reasons, yet the primary reasons are for connection, learning, and belonging. We don’t join wForum to give of ourselves to others. Yet that’s what it takes. That’s how we build trust, build a bond, and survive the stormy moments in becoming a group.

  • Describe examples of our cultural fixation for Me vs We. Think in terms of media and branding messages, political ideologies, the pandemic, American individualism, etc.

  • When has it been challenging to for you personally, to put other’s needs and interests above your own?

  • In wForum, what experiences have helped you developed a sense of we/us/our group as something worthwhile and valuable?

  • What values and practices in wForum have influenced your other relationships, and how?

When “i” is replaced with “we”
even illness becomes wellness.
