OCTOBER: Energy of a Home

Everything and everybody entering your home leaves a footprint of energy. Most of the time, these energies are benign or neutral, but not always. It takes a certain attunement to the pulse of a home to notice good and bad energy.

In this conversation, explore the ideas of energy and receptivity to the people, experiences, colors, and light in your home. Share ideas and examples of cleansing the energy, creating loving and supportive spaces, securing your privacy, and taking precautions to release and limit negative energies.

    1. What room or space in your home feels comforting to you?  Are there boundaries around what you do and don’t do in that space to keep the energy good?

    2. Describe the unique and singular energy of someone you live with.

    3. If you live with a pet, what is the energetic influence on your home?

    4. When visitors or workers come to your home, do you monitor access to certain parts of your home?

    5. Altars in the home are visual blessings that carry an energy of sacred space. What is sacred space in your home?

    6. Do you live with someone whose space you avoid on purpose?  What is the energy you want to avoid?

    7. What might it look like for you to do an energy clearing or an energy birthing in your home?
